Mero Himal Restaurant is an authentic Nepalese restaurant, offering a menu full of rich South Asian flavors.
It all began on the bustling streets of Kathmandu, where the founder grew up in a Nepalese family where food was at the heart of life. In 2010, he traveled to Finland to study, but during that time, a dream was born – to bring the vibrant flavors and culture of Nepal to Finland. His journey from student to restaurateur became a story of courage, determination, and a heartfelt passion for cooking.
While living in Finland, the founder noticed his longing for Nepalese food: momos, spicy curries, and fragrant rice dishes that were so close to his heart. Since authentic Nepalese food was not available, he decided to start making it himself. Encouraged by the compliments from friends and classmates, he came up with an idea: to create a restaurant that would bring the flavors and culture of Nepal directly to the plates of Helsinki’s residents.
The founder wanted to ensure that each dish was prepared with care and expertise. That’s why he gathered a team of talented and experienced Nepalese chefs who understand the secrets of traditional cooking techniques and flavors. Together, they create delicious dishes – fresh momos, rich curry sauces, and spicy meals that transport you straight to Nepal. The passion and dedication of these chefs ensure that every meal is an unforgettable experience.
